Grind was founded in 2011 when David Abrahamovitch took over his father’s Shoreditch mobile phone shop and turned it into a café-bar. Now, Grind serves around two million cups of coffee each year and its restaurants, cocktail bars and espresso joints can be found in popular London spots, including London Bridge, Greenwich, Soho and Royal Exchange. Grind’s real estate also includes an international-grade recording studio and a state-of-the-art coffee roastery. Grind’s London coffee roastery enables the popular certified organic coffee to be enjoyed at home in blends of House, Dark, Light and Decaf.
Grind’s bio-plastic coffee pods have been named “Best Buy” by Which? magazine and are the first in the UK to be completely compostable. The brand’s focus on sustainability has attracted stockists such as Holland & Barrett, Selfridges and Ocado as well as Soho House members clubs and hotels, where Grind is the exclusive global coffee partner for the group.
