Founder and CEO Monica Vinader first became inspired to make affordable-luxury jewellery when she appreciated the gold vermeil technique featured on objects from her parents’ antiques business. Gold vermeil is a premium-quality method of gold plating in which a coat of gold is layered over sterling silver. Monica founded a new category of jewellery using gold vermeil, creating timeless jewellery a woman could buy for herself and feel confident to express her individuality.
Monica Vinader places huge emphasis on sustainability, actively making changes to reduce the company’s CO2 impact. The brand’s packaging is FSC certified and 100% recyclable, deliveries and returns are carbon-neutral and every piece of jewellery is now made from 100% recycled silver, which emits two-thirds less CO2 emissions compared to mined silver. To continue to improve the brand’s sustainability position, Monica Vinader has also joined the United Nations Global Compact.
Monica Vinader boutiques can be found across London, Hong Kong, New York and Singapore. Alternatively, the brand’s pieces can be found stocked by worldwide luxury retailers including Selfridges, Liberty, John Lewis, Farfetch and Nordstrom.
